Here I want to share and talk about samples that I use the most or just want to archive.

Wikipedia (Amen) Break

"Wikipedia Break" is a name I gave to the classic Amen Break, with the only important detail is that I got it from Wikipedia's article about Amen Break.

There, the Amen Break is available for listening and downloading, and in pretty good quality should I say. The fact that in order to sample the break, I didn't need to search for the original song in the highest quality and then do additional processing, but could just download it from the freaking Wikipedia seemed kinda funny to me, and I decided that this would be my go-to version of the Amen Break. lol.

Of course, I did some extra processing, such as warping, and made the break suitable for using as-is or in my Pure Data patch. The tempo is 137 BPM. You can download various versions of it here:

There is a processed version of the Amen Break, uploaded long ago to freesound.org by the user gowers. Here's a link to it.

It is a good-sounding, cripsy version of the Amen Break that you can use as-is. You can download it from freesound.org or from my website.

The tempo is 140 BPM.
